I'm Gabby.

I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor's in Creative Writing from San Francisco State, a combination that probably says more about me than any credential list. I think carefully about language, I read widely (philosophy, poetry, fiction), and I travel as often as I can, not to sightsee, but to understand how people live and think differently. All of that shows up in the room.

What I do

I'm a licensed therapist in New York and Florida, specializing in performance psychology, anxiety, and motivation. My research on university students' exercise motivation during the pandemic was published in the Journal of Kinesiology and Wellness (2025). I teach Sports Performance Psychology and have presented to college athletic teams including Lafayette College Crew.

Research & Teaching

I've published research on motivation and exercise, taught Sports Performance Psychology, and have presented mental performance workshops to college athletic teams. Outside the therapy room, I'm still figuring things out too, which I think makes me a better therapist.
